Regional Spelling BeeHistorically, PAGE has been the sponsor of the Wake County Spelling Bee, part of the national Scripp's Spelling Bee competition.
Since COVID canceled our March 2020 bee 3 days before it was scheduled, In PAGE's absence, the closest local bee has been held in Charlotte and limits the number of Wake County participants. PAGE has not had the annual budget required by Scripps to run the regional bee and is seeking an organization to take over. |
Super SaturdayPAGE hosts Super Saturday - fun & exciting educational sessions.
Children in K-8 attend 2-hour workshops on a range of programs, including STEM, language arts, and fine arts. Parents may attend workshops and explore resources related to gifted children. Volunteers are needed to help solicit vendors, coordinate supplies, and attend classes to aid teachers and presenters. |
CommitteesPAGE seeks to add new committees: advocacy & growth.
The advocacy committee would ensure leaders and educators are supporting gifted students in the most effective ways. They would speak expertise into policies that affect gifted students. The growth committee would focus on finding additional volunteers and local business sponsors to ensure PAGE's can have the biggest possible positive impact for gifted children. To fill these committees, we need volunteers who would lead the charge! |
