Regional Spelling BeeWe are the sponsor of the Wake County Spelling Bee, part of the national Scripp's Spelling Bee competition. Our bee has 95-100 participating schools and homeschool groups each year, making it one of the largest regional bees in the country. For 2020, we need volunteers to help us find business and other financial sponsorship partners.

Super SaturdayWe host Super Saturday twice a year, usually in April and October. Children in K-8 attend 2-hour workshops on a range of programs, including STEM, language arts, and fine arts. Parents attend workshops and explore resources related to gifted children. Volunteers are needed to help solicit vendors, coordinate supplies, and attend classes to aid teachers.

ActivitiesWe are open to starting two new committees: education & events. The education committee will plan activities, such as speakers and workshops, for parents and educators. The events committee will work to plan quarterly outings that are free or inexpensive for our members. To fill these committees, we need volunteers who would lead the charge and make these events happen!
